This 18 hole championship golf course, designed by Les Furber, is a must play when in Southern Alberta. Located 10 minutes east of Lethbridge, Land-O-Lakes G&CC lives up to its name as water comes in to play on 14 of 18 holes. Seven strategically placed lakes and a canal require precise shotmaking, especially on approach shots and par 3’s. Huge rolling greens, all protected by numerous bunkers, requires players to be in control of
their short game. All 18 holes have four varying tee boxes offering an enjoyable challenge for players of all abilities.
The practice facility includes a full range, utilizing both grass tee areas and mats, a chipping green, a putting green and a bunker for people to enjoy and improve their shot making abilities.
Hole # 10 has a history of causing havoc on many good rounds. The
par 4, 401 yard dog leg right, requires an accurate tee shot with proper club selection. A good tee shot will leave you with a short iron in to a two tiered green. The entire hole is protected with a lake that runs down the right side and O.B. left and long. Don’t miss right as the lake is only a few feet from the greens edge and the left side is protected by a bunker and grass mounds. Be sure to get the ball on the proper tier.
