Fully opened in 1997, Big Tee Golf is an exciting 9 hole course that is located just one kilometre north of the town of Breton on Highway 20. It lies on undulating terrain that is, for the most part, fairly open. The rolling terrain is tailor-made for golfers who like to hit the long ball, and they’ll have a blast tearing up the course’s almost 3,300 yards of fairway.
Golfers are advised, however, not to throw caution to the wind for this course still has plenty of challenges that can sting the incautious golfer. Water is in play on three holes and many of the greens require well placed approaches.
Both of these factors come into play on Big Tee’s most challenging hole, the par five 9th. At 500 yards from the gold tee this dogleg right features an island green that demands an accurate shot to avoid trouble. Double tiered, this green can be challenging depending on pin placement.
